Vera Ehrenstein is professor of phase IV studies at the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Aarhus University, Denmark. She has led numerous multi-database, international epidemiologic studies of safety of medicines in pregnancy. She has served on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and has recently joined the Editorial Board of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety. Vera is a member of the Steering Group of the European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology & Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP) under the aegis of the European Medicines Agency.

Vera Ehrenstein is part of the taskforce of international experts charged with developing regulatory guidance on reproductive and perinatal pharmacoepidemiology.
