As study coordinator, we at Department of Clinical Epidemiology serve as a liaison between study sponsors, collaborators, and subcontractors and ensure that the study is implemented according to the protocol and on schedule.
This means that we:
- Develop study timeline with milestones, deliverables, and completion dates
- Establish and maintain communication (regular meetings, staff lists)
- Monitor study progress via regular updates
- Maintain, update, and archive study documentation
- Prepare ‘dummy’ tables, listings, and figures (TLFs)
- Seek contributions from all scientific parties to uphold scientific rigor and consensus
- Ensure that all results are properly disseminated
- Coordinate and conduct validation efforts as needed, including design of bespoke data collection tools
