At Department of Clinical Epidemiology, we aim to provide excellent and frequent supervision for PhD students throughout the program. Usually, supervisors within the fields of epidemiology, biostatistics, and clinical medicine will be involved. We have a team of biostatisticians, who, to some extent, can assist in data management and provide guidance on sophisticated data analyses. However, PhD students are expected to conduct most analyses themselves with proper supervision.
Clinical epidemiologic research at the highest level requires collaboration between individuals, departments, and research environments worldwide. Therefore, it is of high priority to us that PhD students establish networks of national and international collaborators, who may also provide guidance. We work closely with leading academic institutions in the US and Europe. Our department also actively participates in the International Clinical Epidemiology Network (INCLEN).
