As a professor at Department of Clinical Epidemiology, my primary focus is the epidemiology of kidney diseases. I have a particular interest in acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, and I am dedicated to using national health registers to investigate how these conditions and their complications develop and how they can be prevented.
Additionally, I am a consultant physician and daily leader of CONNECT, the data support center for the Central Denmark Region, where we provide expert guidance to clinicians and researchers on how to effectively use clinical and genomic data in, for instance, research projects. I am passionate about answering relevant clinical questions with available data, both in my own research and in our CONNECT consultancy.
