As a physician and PhD student, my primary research interests are survival and recurrence following breast cancer. My work focuses particularly on the association between cardiovascular disease and breast cancer, including the prognosis of breast cancer patients with cardiovascular disease, as well as the risk of cardiovascular disease among patients who have undergone breast cancer treatment. The aim is to provide clinicians with insights into factors that require intervention in order to improve survival and reduce comorbidity among breast cancer patients. This epidemiological research is conducted using Danish national health registries, including the Danish Breast Cancer Group’s clinical database.
As a PhD student at Aarhus University, I am affiliated with Professor Deirdre Cronin-Fenton's research group at the Department of Clinical Epidemiology.
