I am a medical doctor, PhD, and postdoctoral researcher at Aarhus University and Aarhus University Hospital. My research focuses on adrenal disorders and hormonal causes of hypertension, particularly primary aldosteronism.
I am project coordinator for PRISM, which investigates how primary aldosteronism can best be detected, diagnosed, and treated.
Alongside my research, I am an endocrinologist in training, currently on postdoctoral research leave.
I conduct research on adrenal disorders, with a particular focus on primary aldosteronism. My research combines clinical studies and epidemiological methods with the aim of improving detection, diagnosis, subtyping, and treatment. I have also conducted research on the epidemiology of phaeochromocytoma, Cushing's syndrome, and adrenal incidentalomas.
I am an Advisory Editor for the European Journal of Endocrinology.
My primary responsibilities are clinical research and project coordination within primary aldosteronism. In PRISM, I plan and coordinate clinical studies across the PRISM centres and contribute to study design, applications, recruitment, data collection, supervision, analysis, and dissemination.
