I am a PhD student at the Department of Clinical Epidemiology, where I conduct research in cardiovascular epidemiology. In my PhD project, we examine the extent to which individuals’ socioeconomic position influences the incidence, treatment, and prognosis of infective endocarditis. I am a trained medical doctor and worked as a physician prior to starting my PhD.
My primary responsibility is to design and lead epidemiological studies, as well as to manage data and conduct statistical analyses. In my work, I collaborate closely with other researchers and biostatisticians—both nationally and internationally. In addition, I teach epidemiology to medical students.
