I am a medical doctor with clinical experience in general practice, occupational and environmental medicine, and psychiatry. As a PhD student, I study chronic liver disease in people with type 2 diabetes who are treated by their general practitioner. My research is both clinical and epidemiological.
My primary responsibility is my PhD project, "Chronic liver disease in patients with type 2 diabetes: prevention and screening in primary care". As part of my PhD, I teach epidemiology and patient-centred communication to medical students, and interprofessional communication to medical and nursing students.
