‘Tis the season for conferences!
Our colleagues have been out and about sharing their research, networking with peers, and gaining new insights.
The 2025 ISPE Annual Meeting
A small delegation from DCE went to the annual meeting of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology in Washington DC. We contributed 3 oral presentations and 8 posters.
Both postdoc Kirsten Woolpert and associate professor Signe Sørup gave brilliant presentations – and Kirsten received a recognition for her spotlight poster. Research year student Andreas Lund Pedersen also had a poster which was presented by an American collaborator. Finally, professor Vera Ehrenstein co-moderated a Lightning Session.
Danish Cancer Research Days 2025
A handful of colleagues went to Odense to attend the Danish Cancer Research Days. Postdocs Cathrine Fonnesbech Hjorth and Julie Schmidt had poster presentations. Professor Deirdre Cronin Fenton co-moderated a poster session.
Postdoc Mette Kielsholm Thomsen was part of the organizing committee and co-responsible for a poster session and on the assessment committee for the Best Poster Award. Finally, professor Mette Nørgaard was on the assessment committee of the Acta Oncologica Poster Award (Mette is co-editor of the journal) which was awarded for the first time. An excellent couple of days and excellent contributions from DCE!
The European Society of Cardiology Congress 2025
PhD student Anne Bech-Drewes and professor Reimar W. Thomsen attended ESC in Madrid together with our former colleague Kasper Bonnesen, who presented research from DCE (biostatistician Uffe Heide-Jørgensen is co-author).
Anne gave excellent presentations – her first at an international congress, and Reimar had two great presentations including one in the late-breaking science category.
Thank you for representing DCE so well out there!
