Joy Lawn receives Honorary Doctorate from Aarhus University

Tomorrow, Aarhus University will honor Professor Joy Lawn with an Honorary Doctorate from the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Annual Celebration. The nomination for this honorary doctorate was submitted by Department of Clinical Epidemiology, which makes the recognition particularly meaningful to us.

Professor Lawn from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is one of the world's leading researchers in maternal, newborn and child health, and for many years we have had the privilege of collaborating with her on research and global health initiatives. We are especially pleased that our relationship continues to grow stronger. Last week, we hosted the Readiness for Group B Streptococcus Maternal Immunisation Symposium in Aarhus, where Professor Lawn was a co-organizer and an essential part of bringing together researchers and partners from across the world. Professor Lawn will be back in Aarhus and at Department of Clinical Epidemiology in October, as she has also been awarded the Honorary Skou Professorship. Congratulations, Joy, on these well-earned distinctions. We are proud of our collaboration and look forward to the many opportunities ahead.
