I am chair of Danish Pain Research Center under Department of Clinical Medicine, AU. My research field is the mechanisms and treatment of neuropathic pain. Current research areas include painful polyneuropathy as a consequence of diabetes and chemotherapy, neuropathic pain following surgery and injury, painful radiculopathy, pain in spinal cord injury and syringomyelia, and complex regional pain syndrome
