Aarhus University Seal

Department of Clinical Epidemiology is an academic department at Aarhus University providing research consulting services to private and public organizations.

We plan and coordinate all major types of epidemiologic studies, including regulator-mandated postauthorisation safety studies (PASS), drug utilization studies, comparative effectiveness studies, studies of the clinical course of disease and associated health costs, and validation of algorithms.

Most research is done using routinely collected real-world data  from Danish nationwide registries with complete population coverage. We have capacity and experience in primary data collection and in research employing biological samples.

As a frequent coordinator of large multinational investigations, we are experienced in multinational collaboration involving various levels of data sharing and are familiar with data access legislation in different countries. Our research staff counts physician experts in all major clinical areas.
